Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor of Databases and Information Systems at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of databases and information systems.
About the Position:
The professorship will focus on current areas in research and teaching in the spectrum between theory and systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of research projects, including massively parallel and distributed databases, data integration and data analysis for very large and distributed data sets, connection of databases and AI, key-value stores, graph databases and other non-relational databases, and scalable data engineering, data stream or sensor data management.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in computer science or a related field, with a focus on databases and information systems. They will have a proven track record of research and teaching experience, with a strong publication record and a demonstrated ability to secure funding for research projects. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
