Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor of Databases and Information Systems at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of databases and information systems, with a focus on current research areas and their applications.

Research Areas:

  • Massively parallel and distributed databases, in-memory databases, or new storage technologies
  • Data integration and data analysis for very large and distributed data sets
  • Connection of databases and AI (e.g. data-centric ML)
  • Key-value stores, graph databases, and other non-relational databases
  • Scalable data engineering, data stream, or sensor data management

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have outstanding research achievements, third-party funding experience, and experience in teaching courses on basic and advanced topics, including designated courses in English.
