We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team at LSE Space GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of the ground segment and monitoring and control system for a new European flagship mission.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of system requirements, definitions, and refinements
- Design and develop complex ground segment architecture and infrastructure
- Act as an interface between engineering, system integrators, and external stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate risks and obstacles throughout the project development
- Participate in meetings and reviews with various high-profile stakeholders
- Develop a system model that covers all aspects of the ground segment and design deliverables
- Support the creation of various technical documents from the derived system model
- Support the entire development cycle, especially during design, implementation, deployment, and testing
- Support reviews and acceptance tests as part of the different project milestones
- Creation and update of the system model and derived documents as the project evolves
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in system engineering and space system project management throughout the complete life cycle
- Experience in design, development, and operation of complex ground infrastructure
- Experience in writing technical documentation, such as design documents, interface documents, test reports, maintenance plans, and risk catalogues
- Familiarity with ECSS standards
- Able to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Self-starter, able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and have a systematic approach to work
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Experience in the Mission Control System domain would be an asset
- Experience in Model Based System Engineering (based on SysML) would be an asset
- Experience in software development for space missions would be an asset
