We're seeking a talented Software Engineering working student to join our dynamic tech team at 1KOMMA5°. As a leading energy software platform, we're building a virtual power plant that connects photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, and charging infrastructure for our customers. Our mission is to make a significant impact on the energy transition.

Your Role

As a working student, you'll be part of a cross-functional team in the B2C domain, implementing backend or fullstack solutions for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Discovering, evaluating, implementing, and deploying software solutions for our core customer-facing products
  • Maintaining business-critical applications
  • Fostering a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
  • Improving customer satisfaction by reducing tech debt, improving quality, and building software people love to use
Technologies You'll Work With

You'll have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies, including:

  • Backend: TypeScript, NestJS
  • Web Frontend (if you want to go Fullstack): React, TypeScript, Vercel
  • Mobile (if you want to go Fullstack): Flutter
  • Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, BigQuery)
  • Datadog

Your Profile

We're looking for someone who is enrolled at a university, contributes 20 hours per week, and has a strong foundation in Computer Science or a comparable course of studies. You should have first experience writing backend services with TypeScript and be passionate about writing maintainable, documented, reusable, and testable code. Excellent written and spoken English skills are a must, with German being a plus.
