Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team at GEODIS EUROPE Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. As a leading global logistics provider, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of our Health and Safety Policy across the region, updating occupational health and safety risk maps, and coordinating the implementation of risk prevention and management policies. They will also be responsible for defining concrete action plans, proposing KPIs, and tracking performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Group's Health and Safety Policy is applied correctly in the Region.
  • Update occupational health and safety risk maps in collaboration with Country H&S Responsibles.
  • Coordinate the implementation of risk prevention and management policies, as well as accident and crisis management processes.
  • Define concrete action plans with the spirit of continuous improvement (organization, technical solutions, tools, etc) and ensure these actions are completed in a timely manner by the countries.
  • Propose KPIs to Regional Management and track those KPIs, and present the performance of the Region to the Management in Region & Group level.
  • Coordinate certification processes decided by Group and Region.
  • Develop and coach all leaders/employees in the Region to be a flag carrier of health and safety rules.
  • Search for better practices through H&S Network.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree on a related field, an engineering background would be a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the above-described tasks, preferably in an international/regional scale within the logistics industry.
  • Experience with standards like ISO 45001 is considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest to manage and resolve challenges and boost transformation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and expert in communicating with diverse background of people.
  • Strong passion to be an advocator for health and safety rules.
  • Fluent in English and German, Italian would be considered as a plus.
  • Willing to travel.
