About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Group Procurement team at Damovo Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring IT products and services to support our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT products and services, including hardware, software, telecommunications, and cloud solutions, to meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Identify, assess, and manage supplier relationships to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate with Suppliers: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, discounts, warranties, and service level agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive Cost-Saving Initiatives: Drive cost-saving initiatives and go beyond through supplier consolidation, volume discounts, and process efficiencies while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, finance, and business units, to understand requirements, align procurement strategies, and drive value-added solutions.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships, including supply chain disruptions, product quality issues, and cybersecurity risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimal a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in a Strategic Procurement function and managing suppliers in an international business environment.
  • IT Procurement Experience: Proven experience in IT procurement (preferable in the IT sector), with a strong understanding of the market and IT products and services, including hardware, software, telecommunications, and IT-related services.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective and comprehensive supplier relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of IT Market Trends: Knowledge of IT market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Procurement Tools: Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, such as e-sourcing platforms and contract management software.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional dedication to internal customer satisfaction, combined with strong communication abilities in both German and English.
