Credit Risk Specialist

Our Risk Management team in Düsseldorf is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to assist with the credit risk execution and authorization process related to energy derivatives, renewables, and certificates.
Your Responsibilities- Review and validate the credit risk exposure evaluation of new products and transactions, ensuring consistency with credit risk policies and procedures.
- Identify and document business requirements for credit risk related process and systems enhancements, collaborating with the IT team and Market Risk team.
- Provide support and training to users of credit risk related process and systems, resolving any issues or queries that may arise.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to the credit risk product approvals process, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product approvals managers, credit risk analysts, and other business units to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of energy derivatives and renewables, credit risk exposure evaluation methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in credit risk related process and systems, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and other programming languages.
