As a Postdoctoral Researcher at DESY, you will be responsible for performing time-resolved experiments using cutting-edge ultrafast pump-probe setups and strong-field lasers. Your expertise in advanced laser spectroscopy of photo-induced electron dynamics in molecules will be crucial in developing innovative data analysis protocols and collaborating with theory research groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute time-resolved experiments with ultrafast lasers
- Develop and implement advanced laser spectroscopy techniques
- Collaborate with theory research groups to advance our understanding of molecular dynamics
- Co-supervise a team of Doctoral candidates and undergraduate students
- Contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge through publications in esteemed peer-reviewed international journals
- Participate in scientific conferences and symposiums to present research results and foster collaboration
- Ph.D. in physics or a relevant field
- Experience in ultrafast laser science and/or strong-field physics, and/or attosecond science and/or molecular spectroscopy
- Strong background in ultrafast lasers, time-resolved spectroscopy, and high-harmonic generation
- Experience in time-resolved measurements, charge particles/photons detection, and vacuum beamline development
