Your Role:
As a Bid and Contract Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our complex factory solutions, processing, and software projects. You'll be responsible for the entire bid lifecycle, from initial customer requirements analysis to contract negotiation and final handover.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with our sales and technical teams in Munich and across subsidiaries during the acquisition phase.
- Analyze customer-specific bid requirements, develop winning strategies alongside the international bid team, and guide bids through the organization.
- Create comprehensive project calculations, risk assessments, and implement approval processes according to internal guidelines.
- Support the sales department in commercial contract negotiations with clients.
- Coordinate with specialized departments like Export, Logistics, Insurance, Compliance, Legal, Purchasing, Controlling, Tax, and Finance to address project-specific issues.
- Review third-party contracts or draft customer agreements based on existing standards, leveraging support from our internal contract experts.
- Develop back-to-back contract solutions in partnership with the purchasing department.
- Ensure accurate offer and contract documentation throughout the process.
- Facilitate a smooth transition of project responsibility to the operational team after contract finalization.
- Continuously analyze and optimize bid management processes and tools for enhanced efficiency.
Your Profile:
- Possess a commercial education with a successful degree in International Business Administration, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
- Bring several years of experience in bid management or customer project purchasing for international projects.
- Demonstrate proven expertise in setting up and negotiating international contracts.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a passion for collaborating with diverse, virtual project teams.
- Be characterized by your flexibility, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and solution-oriented, structured work style.
- Confidently utilize Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be fluent in German and English, with proficiency in another foreign language being advantageous.
- Be willing to occasionally travel abroad with sales and/or technology teams for contract negotiations.
