OTA Integration, Test and Validation Engineer

Aiways is at the forefront of transforming the automotive landscape.

We are seeking an OTA Integration, Test and Validation Engineer to join our Connectivity Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct regression testing for OTA platforms across various vehicle models. Identify software bugs to enhance user satisfaction. Serve as a quality assurance specialist, communicating feedback on issues to central teams to ensure upgrade capabilities. Execute diverse testing scenarios related to real-time and offline vehicle operations, focusing on user experience. Oversee Over-the-Air validation processes, including FOTA and SOTA. Manage FOTA operations for the Aiways fleet throughout Europe. Maintain and operate the FOTA test bench. Ensure OTA functionality is integrated throughout the entire development lifecycle. Detect FOTA integration issues and report them to Research & Development and other relevant teams. Utilize JIRA for ticketing and issue tracking. Based on the vehicle software release schedule, identify targets and monitor release progress. Provide prompt technical support for OTA-related issues affecting Aiways and partner fleets. Collaborate with a distributed team across Europe.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or higher in automotive engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or related fields. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive sector, preferably with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. Proficient in Linux or similar programming environments. Knowledgeable about OTA, FOTA, SOTA concepts, and their respective update processes. Familiar with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN and LIN. Experienced with CAN-based diagnostic tools (e.g., CANoe, Candela, Diva) and flashing/calibration protocols. Strong understanding of electrical and electronic architectures in electric vehicles. Exposure to IT concepts, including databases, cloud technologies, and software architectures. Professional experience in validating software for automotive control units or equivalent qualifications according to ISTQB standards. Possession of a Class B Driving License and proficient driving skills. Proficient in English; knowledge of German is advantageous, and Chinese is a plus. Excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to enhancing user experience.
