Key Responsibilities & Qualifications- Design and maintain top-tier cryptocurrency node software components and their specifications.
- Take charge of intricate topics such as the architecture and execution of a congestion control mechanism utilizing a dual token system, a groundbreaking DAG-based Nakamoto-style consensus, or a reactive transaction processing pipeline/data-flow.
- Steer these projects to successful outcomes by collaborating effectively with teams including Research Scientists, Software Engineers, and DevOps.
- Adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment where your contributions may evolve swiftly based on user insights and data from the builder community.
- Promote a transparent and open workplace, actively engaging with the IOTA community on platforms like GitHub, Discord, and at industry conferences.
- Ensure the timely delivery of technical solutions while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Serve as a mentor for colleagues in our internal Rust training initiative.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years of expertise in Rust programming.
- Fundamental understanding of cryptographic principles (hashing, digital signatures, certificates, PKI) and their appropriate applications.
- Familiarity with database technologies (key-value data storage paradigm, e.g., RocksDB).
- Proficiency in networking protocols and frameworks (e.g., libp2p, TCP, QUIC).
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
