POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Senior Technical Programmer, you will spearhead a team of developers focused on enhancing the Snowdrop engine's capabilities. Your collaboration with various departments and game production teams will be essential in establishing optimal workflows and technologies that empower the entire development team to create exceptional gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor team members to foster their professional growth and knowledge acquisition.
- Assist team members in reaching their individual development objectives.
- Encourage interdepartmental collaboration to streamline processes.
- Work alongside other leads and the Technical Director to outline the project roadmap.
- Break down the roadmap into actionable tasks and support departmental task management.
- Collaborate with other Ubisoft studios to enhance our proprietary technology.
- Establish budgets and workflows for all relevant departments.
- Implement workflows and techniques aimed at improving the overall development process.
- Engage in the recruitment process to build a strong team.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Lead Graphics Programmer or in a similar capacity on at least one AAA title.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of direction.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English.
- Robust programming skills in C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a related technical domain (engine, graphics, physics, etc.).
- Familiarity with various CPU/GPU and memory profiling tools to inform decision-making.
- Experience with platforms that have performance or bandwidth constraints.
- Understanding of hardware architecture and its intricacies.
