Deputy Logistics Manager (all genders)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team at Dätwyler. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 30 logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.
  • Co-responsible for the warehouse logistics area, including goods receipt, goods issue, customs clearance, warehouse, and cable rewinding machines.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize warehouse operations and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of logistics activities.
  • Participate in operational daily business, providing input and recommendations to improve overall logistics performance.

Requirements

  • Educational background and work experience in the field of warehouse/logistics; first leadership experience is desirable.
  • Possession of a valid forklift license and experience with front forklifts.
  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • Good knowledge of German and basic knowledge of English.
  • Organizational talent and a strong team spirit.
