Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Onshore Planning Manager to join our team at Vestas, the world's leading wind turbine producer. As a key member of our Customer Project Execution Department, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of skilled planners, ensuring the Planning department is adequately staffed, and engaging the Planning department fully in the Sales and Execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of skilled and experienced planners to ensure the successful execution of wind farm projects.
  • Ensure the Planning department is adequately staffed with qualified personnel to meet the demands of our growing business.
  • Engage the Planning department fully in the Sales and Execution phases to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with our Stage Gate Model for activities and deliverables.
  • Regularly update the Project Programme based on progress and changes.
  • Assist the project team in identifying the critical path, risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Support the project team in claim management, short-term planning, and resource analysis, while ensuring effective reporting on progress and planning to key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Project Management and Planning, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programs.
  • Documented history of people management, with a focus on developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience in successfully guiding and delivering projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing effective strategies for teams and departments.
  • Possess keen business understanding and insight, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships by engaging key stakeholders to foster transparency, resolve issues, build consensus, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
