ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Engineering Team Supervisor to take charge of our engineering operations.
In this position, you will function as a Lead Engineer, overseeing a team of (Lead) Systems Engineers, guiding and supporting them in their daily activities while fostering their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Foster employee well-being and growth to maintain a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team. Monitor team performance and provide assistance on all relevant inquiries within the field.
- Facilitate communication and planning within the team, recommending necessary training and workshop initiatives.
- Ensure that team members understand job requirements and apply methodologies, procedures, and tools from the Project Management Office (PMO) across all projects.
- Collaborate with local or European engineering management to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing resources from the broader team, standardizing technical processes, automating procedures, and sharing knowledge to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support in reviewing planning and preparation, serving as the primary contact for all technical issues.
- Take responsibility for engineering activities across all assigned tasks, proactively employing methodologies, resources, and techniques to minimize execution costs while upholding the required schedule and quality standards.
- Assist Project Managers in developing realistic and achievable project timelines, ensuring they are fully informed about resource needs, progress, and risk areas for the Lead Engineers.
- Comprehend the scope of work for all assigned engineering deliverables, ensuring timely delivery that meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements, while keeping the relevant Project Manager informed of any changes initiated by the customer.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with the company's quality control processes and standards.
- Support the Project Manager in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all project team members, aiding them in achieving any personal development goals set for the project.
- Actively participate in assigned bidding activities to ensure a thorough understanding of customer requirements and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Share knowledge and experiences actively within the team and the broader organization.

Required Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of experience in process automation projects and experience managing technical teams.
- State-certified technician or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficient in both German and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, and third parties on technical matters.
- Business acumen to generate new opportunities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, including short and extended trips.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intercultural competence.
- Familiarity with modern PC and network technologies.
