Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager

At Applied Materials, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager to join our Materials and Supply Chain team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of relevant commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, and establishing and maintaining a robust supply chain for ICT products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage all commercial aspects within relevant commodities, including precise machining, ceramics, and other related areas.
  • Establish and maintain a robust supply chain for ICT products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Manage all costing aspects, including cost reduction opportunities, and work closely with the R&D team to source and cost technologies.
  • Lead processes for product or service improvements and manage business challenges and regulatory issues.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Engineering or a related field, with a second degree in Business Administration being an advantage.
  • Relevant technological knowledge, including Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
  • Minimum of 7 years of purchasing experience in the engineering industry.
  • Profound experience in strategic Suppliers Management.
  • Strong commercial orientations, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to solve unique and complex problems with a broad impact on the supply chain business.
  • Experience in leading cross-organization projects and leadership capabilities.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Willingness for international business travels (up to 25%).
