Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and culturally aware individual to join our team as a Film Editing Trainee. You will work closely with our editing team, gaining hands-on experience in the film editing process while contributing to exciting projects.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in a dynamic and multilingual team environment, fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Gain practical experience in film editing, observing the entire editing workflow and its influence on audience perception.
  • Assist our editing team with various tasks, including managing editing facilities and supporting the post-production process.
  • Contribute to the creation of promotional materials such as trailers and press clips in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Help maintain and update our audience database for test screenings and prepare transcripts of feedback discussions.
  • Deliver final film elements to distributors and assist in the restoration and enhancement of film materials.
  • Participate in the creation and review of subtitles and dialogue lists.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Fluency in English, with excellent command of German and/or French; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • A passion for cinema and film analysis, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in editing software such as AVID, Premiere, and After Effects; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is advantageous.
  • Experience in the film industry, particularly in post-production processes, is preferred.
  • A collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
