Role Description:
We are seeking a motivated and culturally aware individual to join our dynamic team. As a Film Editing Trainee, you will work closely with our editing team, gaining hands-on experience in the film editing process and contributing to various projects.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in a multilingual environment, fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
- Assist in the editing process, gaining insight into how editing influences audience perception.
- Support our editors in managing editing facilities and resources.
- Participate in the creation of promotional materials, including trailers and press clips.
- Help coordinate audience testing and maintain the database for test screenings.
- Prepare transcripts and documentation for post-production discussions.
- Deliver film elements to distributors and assist in the restoration of film materials.
- Create and review subtitles and dialogue lists as needed.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English, with strong command of German and/or French; additional languages are a plus.
- A passion for cinema and film analysis, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in editing software such as AVID, Premiere, and After Effects; experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is advantageous.
- Previous experience in film post-production is preferred, along with an understanding of film sales operations.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to work.
