Solar Metrology Specialist

WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH is focused on broadening its client network across Asia, Europe, and globally. We are in search of a skilled PV Metrology Consultant (m/f/d) to enhance our sales division.
Your role will involve:
- Representing WAVELABS at industry exhibitions and conferences
- Serving as the primary contact for clients and customers in advanced photovoltaic research and manufacturing
- Consulting with institutions, researchers, and PV manufacturers to understand their requirements and develop metrology solutions for device characterization challenges
- Conducting market research to identify potential new clients and assess technical market trends, integrating findings into the organization
- Acquiring new clients, preparing proposals, and leading contract discussions
- Identifying and evaluating project tenders and leads
- Collaborating closely with our product development team to support the redesign and enhancement of our product offerings.
Your qualifications include:
- A robust technical background with significant knowledge in photovoltaics
- Several years of experience in the photovoltaic sector, research and development, or related fields (e.g., semiconductors)
- Sales experience is advantageous
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional language skills such as German are beneficial
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to prospective clients
- Quick learning ability and a meticulous, independent work style
- Strong networking capabilities within the photovoltaic industry and/or research and development
- Willingness to travel as required
- Effective time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
Who we are...
WAVELABS has rapidly evolved from a startup to a recognized leader in solar metrology within less than a decade. Currently, approximately 30% of all solar cell simulations are conducted using our devices. Our journey began with the SINUS-220, an innovative LED flasher for solar cells, and has since expanded to include several additional solar simulators for research, development, and mass production applications. Many prominent photovoltaic manufacturers now rely on our flashers in their production and research processes. Our team consists of 100 employees, with our main office located in Leipzig, complemented by another site in Münster and ongoing expansion of our distribution centers in China, India, and the USA. We embrace hybrid working arrangements, while regular in-person meetings foster team cohesion and a sense of community.
