Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Validation & Verification Engineer to join our ETCS Onboard Projects team in Berlin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our railway systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage internal interfaces with Project Engineering, Industrial & Warranty, and external interfaces with customers and suppliers.
- Oversee and maintain the Test & Commissioning Plan for installations in accordance with standard procedures and norms.
- Be responsible for preparing and overseeing the execution of all field activities, as well as monitoring progress and continuous performance monitoring.
- Ensure the implementation of all safety standards and regulations.
- Verify the commissioning instructions for the ETCS (European Train Control) system for various trains and locomotives.
- Analyze and develop solutions for errors that occur during commissioning in close cooperation with the Alstom Competence Center Charleroi, Belgium.
Requirements
- Experience in the rail industry, preferably in the development or maintenance of railway systems.
- Proficient knowledge of project management and planning.
- Fluent German, English, and French language skills.
- Customer- and solution-oriented approach.
- Team-oriented personality, leadership qualities.
- High level of independence, understanding of complex relationships.
- Assertiveness, flexibility, and resilience.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
