Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled service procedures on North Sea offshore wind turbines without supervision
  • Identify and troubleshoot common, reoccurring, and major component faults on electrical and mechanical systems of the offshore turbine
  • Provide on-job qualification training, evaluating competency and quality for troubleshooting procedures of individuals assigned to them
  • Develop advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills on site with competent individuals
  • Lead small teams; Accountable for the safety, competency and productivity of Trainees, Maintenance technicians and Contractors assigned to them for maintenance and troubleshooting activities
  • Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical, safety issues and difficulties to the relevant individuals on site/back office
  • Maintain and follow safety procedures as required by company policy
  • Participate in all relevant call arrangements (flexibility is important), if applicable
  • Participation in internal training and further development from Basic Technician to Maintenance Technician and Troubleshooter
Requirements
  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change
  • Successfully completed electrical education / training (according to German regulations)
  • Several years of working experience within the wind sector, preferably offshore
  • Offshore ready according to GWO standard
  • Advanced understanding of electrical & mechanical systems of all turbine components and systems
  • Advanced understanding of IT
  • Advanced knowledge in Business English
  • Proactive and independent way of working
  • Team player
  • Flexibility in regards to shift work in 14 days offshore and 14 days off shift
  • Flexibility in site location
