Job Description

The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as a Student Research Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, contributing to cutting-edge research in laser technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with researchers in the construction and conversion of test systems, setups, and measuring arrangements
  • Independently plan, execute, and evaluate test series on laser systems
  • Document scientific findings and contribute to the development of new technologies
  • Participate in process management, control software, and measurement technology projects
Requirements
  • Currently studying physics, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a comparable engineering or natural science subject
  • Excellent experimental skills and a willingness to learn
  • Experience in programming (Python, C#, Fortran), FEM simulations, and laser technology is an advantage
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
