Job Summary

This role provides HR and recruiting expertise to the assigned Business Units at WuXi AppTec. The successful candidate will perform various human resources duties, including new hire orientation, talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and other special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in day-to-day administration, communication, and implementation of HR policies and programs.
  • Reports, tracks, and processes HR data, including promotions, transfers, new hires, safety-related data, employee referrals, employee recognition, employee separations, and update HRIS.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner team on employee relations for assigned Business Units, including conducting investigations as needed and when appropriate.
  • Lead and assist with departmental projects, including compensation analysis and strategy, annual and ongoing benefit enrollments, performance management, promotions, and other HR initiatives.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to create requisitions, with interview scheduling for job openings, as well as managing the reference and background checks.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • May participate in the administration of training programs for assigned Business Units.
  • Manage Org. Charts for assigned Business Units and also general and employee reports and/or metrics, on an ongoing basis.
  • Act as an advisor for assigned client groups, recommending new approaches, practices, and procedures for continual process improvement.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner team on coaching and counseling situations and employee discipline, including termination.
  • Assist with immigration and visa process support.
  • Assist with completion and coordination of safety paperwork and worker's comp claims.
  • Maintain employee files and records, ensuring completeness of files.
  • Participate in compliance initiatives, including internal and external audits.
  • Maintain and organize Business Units master job descriptions.
  • May conduct employee training.
  • Contribute to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Involved in Activity Committees planning of employee activities and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and Recruiting required.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience working with UKG, SAP, or other HRIS systems required.
  • Experience working with iCIMS or another applicant tracking system preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law pertaining to personnel administration and various compensation and benefit plans and practices.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Ability to handle details with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in German and English is required. French language skills are a plus.
  • Travel may be required, on an ad-hoc basis/not a regular monthly requirement.
