Casualty Underwriting Manager

The following key tasks await you:

  • Risk-oriented underwriting of risks in the area of Large Corporate and Special risks such as Automotive, Rail, and Construction
  • Detailed analysis of risks and individual design of insurance contracts
  • Customer-oriented management of business, maintenance, and expansion of existing customer relationships as well as active development of new customer relationships
  • Participation in product development and strategy
  • Monitoring of claims history, initiation/conducting, and monitoring of remedial measures
  • Observation of changes in the relevant legal environment and involvement in necessary adjustments to insurance coverage
  • Collaboration with Account Management and underwriters from other areas
  • Cooperation with colleagues from AXA XL worldwide and local AXA insurers
  • Participation in training and other qualification measures
  • Independent collection of information about specific incidents in the work area and their evaluation, which are of interest in terms of new business, portfolio, organization, and competition

We are looking for you with the following skills:

  • Completed university or college degree in (insurance) economics or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 6 years of underwriting experience in the area of international liability insurance for industrial risks, large corporate risks, and special risks such as Automotive
  • Sales orientation and negotiating skills as well as a confident and convincing appearance
  • Innovative thinking, openness to new ideas, and positive support of changes
  • Team spirit and high performance and responsibility
  • Very good German and English language skills in both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to a dynamic work environment
