Location: This role is based in Germany, with options for remote work available across the country.

Job Purpose

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Head of SaaS Product Marketing within the cloud business unit to craft positioning, develop go-to-market strategies, and create sales tools for our Altium 365 electronics development platform and its associated applications and integrations. This cross-functional role will engage with product, marketing, sales, customer success, and other corporate teams, primarily aimed at assisting marketing and sales in generating leads and driving sales among existing and new customers. This position is a response to our rapid growth and will involve working with a team of product marketers located in Europe and the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will initially concentrate on our new Altium 365 Requirements Manager application and the recently acquired Valispace systems engineering and requirements solution. Over time, additional applications and integrations on the Altium 365 platform may be incorporated.

  • Craft clear and impactful messaging and positioning that effectively communicates our unique value proposition to various customers throughout the electronics development process.
  • Gain insights into our customers' motivations for purchasing and utilize this information to develop buyer personas that enhance the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the launch of multiple Altium 365 applications and/or integrations annually.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive initiatives that enhance market leadership, awareness, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Support the sales team in articulating our product narratives in a manner that resonates with potential clients.
  • Create product-related content, including sales presentations, one-pagers, demonstrations, and website copy.
  • Assist the content team in producing blog posts, white papers, and other technical documentation.
  • Develop and present content for webinars and events to showcase our product value.
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation team on marketing campaigns aimed at driving pipeline and retention for your products.
  • Relay customer feedback and market trends to product management to inform product enhancements and roadmap direction.
  • Conduct competitive research to continuously refine our messaging and positioning, influence product direction, and empower sales to succeed.
  • Highlight customer success by contributing to case studies, stories, and testimonials, leveraging our products to build market credibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably BSEE or BSME.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing for technical products, with a preference for SaaS/cloud products.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in at least one additional major European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian) being advantageous.
  • Experience in marketing Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and requirements tools such as Valispace, Jama, DOORs, etc., is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams on visual concepts, graphics, videos, and other visuals to support product positioning and content strategy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical skills – comfortable with data manipulation and deriving insights.
  • Enthusiasm for promoting Altium 365 to colleagues and the market.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment while working with a remote team across Europe and the United States.
