Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on dialysis equipment, ancillary devices, and water treatment systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of the physical facility as directed.
- Ensure that external vendor services are executed according to contractual agreements.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of service parts.
- Perform, assess, and document water/dialysate sample collection and any necessary actions.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly trend analyses on the water system to ensure optimal functionality.
- Keep comprehensive records of all repair and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the planning and installation of biomedical equipment to guarantee safe and effective operations.
- Transport equipment as required with supervisor approval.
- Participate in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
- Collaborate with facility personnel to ensure compliance with all regulatory and OSHA standards.
- Manage inventory, including receiving deliveries, conducting inventory counts, and assisting clinical management with inventory costs.
- Conduct initial and annual verification and ongoing monitoring of patient care staff's techniques for testing the water system, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Complete all technical training programs mandated by state/federal regulations and company policies.
- Provide scheduled after-hours technical support for clinics as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree in electronics/biomedical technology or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Continued employment contingent upon successful completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within the first 24 months of hire.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Key attributes: collaborative, independent, analytical, mechanical, self-motivated, and proactive in enhancing knowledge and skills.
- Less than one year of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in mechanical, automotive, construction, dialysis, or medical technical environments preferred.
- Manual dexterity necessary for using common hand tools and small power equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely maneuver large or bulky equipment.
