Senior Project Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineering Manager to join our MEU Field Engineering team at Amazon Deutschland S8 Transport GmbH - J70. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects related to the deployment of engineering solutions in our delivery stations across the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network.
Key Responsibilities- Manage highly complex concurrent projects related to the deployment of engineering solutions in delivery stations of MEU Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network
- Owning a program or a portfolio of projects related to launches or retrofits of different technology types including Automation, Material Handling Equipment or other building improvement projects
- Leading the whole project/program lifecycle from concept and budgeting creation to handover at completion to relevant stakeholders
- Handling independently or with minimal guidance different tactical phases of the projects/program
- Interacting with senior level management across different functions to provide trade-off solutions that satisfy potential conflicts
- Identifying inefficiencies of processes or standards within the allocated country or at European level and proactively leading improvements with the relevant teams

Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Working experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent
- Working experience as Project Manager of multiple complex projects or as Program manager
- Proficiency in planning and analysis tools: Excel & Microsoft Project or similar
- Proficiency in engineering design tools: AutoCAD or similar
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders to deliver projects/program including external vendors
- Experience in the commissioning of automated machinery and entire systems
- Experience in working with analysis tools for KPI reporting (i.e. PowerBI or similar)
- Knowledge of Six Sigma analytical and process improvement techniques
- Written and spoken proficiency in German language (B2/C1)
- Master Degree in Engineering or Business equivalent
- Experience with working within Logistics Automated environment
- Strong analytical and data-driven skills
- Clear and concise in verbal and written communication
- Ability to communicate across an increasing diversity of areas (i.e. legal, Operations, Finance, Safety, regulatory, external industry groups, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environment
- Ability to work under pressure and on Peak periods
