Your key responsibilities will include:
- Fostering a culture of safety and well-being within your team.
- Evaluating and implementing corrective measures to uphold high standards of quality and productivity, ensuring that business goals are consistently achieved across all shifts.
- Leading and supporting your team while managing administrative tasks and cultivating a robust team culture.
- Assessing performance metrics and proposing process enhancements to optimize workflows and elevate customer service.
- Collaborating with fellow managers to standardize operational processes across shifts.
A Day in the Life
Your work will involve shift-based responsibilities at one of our operational facilities. Your primary focus will be on maintaining safety protocols within your team and throughout the site, as well as monitoring process efficiency.
Your daily tasks will encompass routine team management and operational duties, alongside addressing individual escalations, engaging in process improvement initiatives, and planning for large-scale operational contingencies.
Team Dynamics
Being an integral part of the operations team means collaborating with colleagues from various departments and external partners to ensure we meet customer expectations and targets.
This role will require you to analyze data and performance indicators in conjunction with leaders in your area, as well as discuss the operational implications of technical advancements with engineering teams.
About the Team
The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is crucial to our ability to deliver efficiently. Within ATS, you will be part of a diverse group that plays a pivotal role in our operational success.
Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will contribute to maximizing the efficiency of Amazon's transportation network.
Our team is dedicated to leveraging data to inform decision-making, driving innovation and efficiency throughout the organization. We prioritize safety, recognizing that our workforce is our greatest asset, and we rely on their expertise to ensure timely and sustainable package delivery.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing one)
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and B2 German
- Relevant experience in data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
- Background in a logistics environment
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context.
