About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join our team at Telefonica S.A. in a key role that will drive the development of our Telco Cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the continuous development of the Telco Landing Zone Roadmap (Backlog) and prioritize development steps with stakeholders to create maximum value for Telefónica.
  • Translate TelCo requirements into Epics and User Stories and align them with stakeholders (Application Owner, Budget Owner).
  • Develop solutions, strategic plans, and required transformation strategies for the evolution of the Telco Cloud infrastructure in an agile team with architects.
  • Work with Security and Data Protection colleagues to ensure the integrity of solutions and comply with telecoms standards and policies.
  • Run pilot projects and conduct research to identify emerging cloud services, technologies, and trends.
  • Coordinate working methods and processes with other Product Owners within the CCOE to enable standardized workflows.
Requirements
  • University degree or comparable education and 6 years of professional experience in telecommunications engineering or computer science.
  • Knowledge of functional and non-functional requirements of Telco workloads and deep understanding of 3GPP, IETF, and ETSI specifications.
  • Experience in development processes, CI/CD tools, and test methodology.
  • Experience with cloud-native or similar architectures for application software, including AWS (preferred), Google, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with analyzing and designing complex cloud and telecommunications systems, including network technologies such as IPv6 and BGP.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage but not a must.
