As a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, you will be responsible for executing technical tasks related to the development and assessment of quality initiatives, as well as monitoring compliance with the quality assurance program of the 405th Army Field Sustainment Brigade (405th AFSB). Your duties will include:
- Analyzing production status, identifying failures, and addressing quality objectives.
- Conducting evaluations of operational elements to assess inspection processes and collaborating with personnel to identify areas for operational enhancement.
- Determining discrepancies linked to inspection methods and sampling plans, implementing necessary adjustments.
- Reviewing and resolving customer quality complaints received from operational units.
- Performing on-site assessments, physical inspections, and measurements, while consulting technical reference materials to ascertain the acceptability of waivers and deviations.
- Evaluating quality waivers and deviations submitted by using organizations or recommended by operational units.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications**Educational and Experience Requirements:**
**C-06:**
- E&T Level I: 2 years of relevant experience as defined in section A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in section B.
- Current employees not meeting E&T Level I must have 2 additional years of relevant experience as described in section A.
**C-6a:**
- E&T Level I: 2 years of relevant experience as defined in section A PLUS 4 years of experience as defined in section B.
**C-7:**
- E&T Level I: 2 years of relevant experience as defined in section A PLUS 5 years of experience as defined in section B.
**Experience A:** Includes clerical work in an office or retail environment, computer operations, bookkeeping, inventory management, telemarketing, event coordination, or cashiering.
**Experience B:** Relevant experience in a similar field, demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The majority of this experience should be at a comparable level of complexity to the role being filled.
• Proficiency in office automation is required.
• A valid driver's license class B is mandatory, and the ability to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license is essential.
**Language Proficiency:**
- Proficiency in English and German at Level B2 is required. Candidates may assess their proficiency through various online platforms offering tests under the 'Common European Framework of Reference for Languages' (CEFR).

Employment ConditionsThis position offers 2 permanent full-time roles (38.5 hours/week). Occasional temporary duty travel may be required. The position may be filled at the C-06, C-6a, or full performance level, C-07. The incumbent may be eligible for non-competitive promotion to the next higher or full performance level upon completion of required training and supervisor recommendation.
