Laboratory Operations Director

CSL Plasma GmbH is a leading collector of human plasma, and our work is crucial in ensuring that people with rare and serious diseases can live normal, healthy lives. We are committed to our mission, and we are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Laboratory Operations to lead our team in Göttingen.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement plans to ensure timely and compliant sample receipt, testing, and result release.
- Manage staffing and instrumentation to meet company needs for timeliness, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain knowledge of the plasma and laboratory industries to inform planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective test delivery.
- Develop and manage a team of managers and supervisors to achieve success within the CSL group's values and objectives.
- Manage staff, including recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development.
- Manage laboratory capacity and organizational capability to perform tests and deliver results within CSL cost targets.
- Lead the site to ensure all tests are conducted in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GXP), CSL standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive laboratory culture, employee performance, and engagement.
- Lead and coordinate projects to improve laboratory infrastructure and facility to meet current and future needs.
- University degree in Business or Science.
- Masters degree in Sciences preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in laboratory management, leading personnel, and working within matrixed organizations.
- Lean Management skills.
- Quality and GMP skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Cost awareness.
- Fluent in German and English.
