Engineering Operations Supervisor

We are seeking dedicated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as a
Technical Operations Supervisor (m/f/d).
This role is pivotal in overseeing a group of engineering professionals, ensuring a strong emphasis on safety through effective training, development, and mentorship. The Technical Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining optimal equipment functionality by ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance protocols and internal operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and mentor the engineering team, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop innovative solutions.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in coordinating with safety departments and site leadership to implement and audit safety compliance programs, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Enforce network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to guarantee high equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
- Organize and direct training programs to ensure adequate technical coverage for all shifts.
- Manage local projects or assist with EU-level initiatives as directed by management.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent experience.
- Extensive practical engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Familiarity with automated systems, such as packaging machinery and conveyor systems.
- Experience adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, etc.).
- Fluent communication skills in German (CEFR Level C1 or higher) and English (CEFR Level B2 or higher).
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Multi-disciplinary expertise in both electrical and mechanical fields.
- Leadership experience in a disciplinary context.
- Comprehensive knowledge of specialized engineering and facility equipment within the operational environment, along with maintenance and safety protocols.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems.
- Project management experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
