Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled student to work on a thesis project related to real-time video processing with Zephyr RTOS. As a member of our embedded & mobile systems research team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a real-time video processing system using Zephyr RTOS
- Develop and test software components for video processing, including encoders, decoders, and machine learning accelerators
- Contribute to the upstream Zephyr project by developing and submitting patches or new drivers as needed
- Collaborate with the research team to evaluate the approach for its advantages and disadvantages compared to alternative solutions
- Develop a comprehensive report detailing the results of the project, including performance benchmarking, power consumption measurements, and a comparison matrix
Requirements
- Experience with a software platform for microcontrollers (such as Zephyr, Arduino, FreeRTOS, etc.) and/or with Linux on embedded systems
- Good coding experience in C or C++
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Enrollment in computer science, physics, engineering, or a related field
- High degree of initiative and creativity, with a willingness to learn and explore new technologies
