Position Overview

As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our fresh product categories, focusing on both sales and profitability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Category Growth: Strategically determine the assortment of products to offer, set competitive pricing, and establish discount strategies to optimize sales performance both in-app and externally.
  • Supplier Relations: Engage in independent negotiations with our A-brand suppliers and cultivate a robust supplier network.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and keep abreast of the latest trends in E-commerce.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Retail Media, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Hub Operations to drive growth and enhance profitability.
  • Optimization Initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement within category management to further the company's objectives.
  • Team Environment: Join a dynamic and experienced team comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds in retail and A-brand suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in roles such as buyer, category manager, or key account manager within the food sector, with a focus on fresh products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or Management.
  • Proven ability to analyze category performance and develop strategies based on market insights and internal data.
  • Demonstrated experience in making practical decisions that drive business outcomes.
  • Fluency in English and German (C1 level).
