Chemical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical-technical assistant to join our team at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute. As a key member of our Technology and Infrastructure department, you will play a vital role in supporting our research and development activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support in the Technology and Infrastructure department and assigned technology laboratories.
- Order chemicals, purchase workplace-related equipment, and manage the procurement process.
- Logistics of chemicals, organize storage, and ensure the safe disposal of hazardous chemical waste.
- Supervise chemical technology systems, including electroplating baths and automatic cleaning machines.
- Perform various chemical tasks, such as preparation and control of mixtures, analyses, and contribute to process improvements.
- Training as a chemist/chemical technician or equivalent experience.
- Basic IT skills, including MS Office.
- Sense of responsibility, reliability, and a structured, careful, and independent way of working.
- Knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Enjoy operating complex production systems and a highly integrated laboratory.
- Strong error awareness and communication skills.

The position is initially limited to 2 years, with an extension desired.
