Overview:
The Group Compliance department collaborates closely with various business units and control functions to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and market standards relevant to Deutsche Börse AG and its operations. Within this framework, the Law & Regulation unit serves as a coordinating oversight body, focusing on developments in prudential regulation, particularly in banking, investment firm regulation, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives. This unit is tasked with monitoring the framework established to manage risks associated with human rights violations along supply chains, as mandated by the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz).
As a member of Group Compliance, your role will be pivotal in mitigating risks of human rights violations in supply chains by evaluating existing due diligence measures and advocating for the implementation of additional necessary actions. Furthermore, you will conduct impact analyses of new and emerging ESG regulatory requirements and assist in their organization-wide allocation and execution once they come into effect.

Key Responsibilities:
As an ESG Compliance Specialist, your duties will include:

Evaluating the suitability and effectiveness of human rights-related due diligence measures in line with Section 4 (3) of the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains through monitoring activities and supporting controls, Serving as the primary contact for various group entities and stakeholders impacted by the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, Facilitating communication with diverse internal stakeholders and ensuring necessary reporting to the Human Rights Officer, Planning, executing, and documenting monitoring and control activities related to compliance with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, as well as evaluating the outcomes of these activities, Assisting in the development of due diligence measures, including preventive and corrective actions, to effectively manage identified risks, Regularly reporting to relevant stakeholders, including the Human Rights Officer of Deutsche Börse AG, on the fulfillment of due diligence obligations and associated activities, as well as any potential risks and violations identified, Supporting the implementation of specific ESG-related requirements (e.g., CSRD) that impact Group Compliance, and Conducting impact analyses of new and emerging regulatory requirements, while aiding in the group-wide identification of implementation responsibilities and undertaking additional compliance-related tasks as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

A university degree in compliance, law, business administration, or economics At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in compliance In-depth knowledge of ESG and CSR-related requirements, as well as relevant regulatory frameworks for financial sector entities Strong writing, conceptual, and methodological skills Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization within a multicultural and international environment, demonstrating high levels of initiative, commitment, and motivation Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to various stakeholders Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is essential Flexibility and competence in using MS Office applications
