Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that transform and disrupt the delivery experience for customers.

We are inventing the next-generation smart warehouse and smart delivery operation with cutting-edge technologies, including Wearable, Robotics, Machine Learning, and more. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation delivery technology, work process, and customer/driver experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy low-latency, real-time applications in constrained environments on the edge.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, R&D, product management, operation, and finance, to deliver technology solutions and maximize the long-term potential of each individual engineer.
  • Articulate and champion the product, vision, and development timeline in a cross-organization, cross-function, and cross-geo environment with senior executives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in software development, developing multithreaded mobile applications.
  • Expert knowledge of Java and the JDK, Android Developers Kit, and Android Architecture, performance optimization, and Security.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in mobile web app development in JavaScript/React.
  • Experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
