We are seeking a highly motivated student engineer to join our team at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen. The successful candidate will work on a research project focused on the attitude control of multiple laser communication terminals on a common platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop a hardware breadboard to validate attitude control algorithms
- Implement software to control motorized attitude manipulation platforms
- Automate the breadboard test plan using Python
- Validate the functionality of the involved algorithms and benchmark their performance
- Hands-on experience in embedded C/C++ programming for microcontrollers
- Knowledge of writing code in Python
- Experience with hardware projects at university or as part of a hobby
- Interest in optical communications
- Ability to work independently
- Very good technical English or German required
