Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an energy credit risk specialist to support the execution and approval processes related to energy derivatives, renewable resources, and certificates. This role involves ensuring compliance with credit risk policies and procedures for new products and transactions. The specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including credit risk management, IT, and market risk, to validate credit risk exposure assessments for new offerings, ensuring the integrity and precision of credit risk modeling and reporting. Additionally, you will contribute to the design and enhancement of credit risk processes and systems, providing training and support to users.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Assessing and validating credit risk exposure evaluations for new energy derivatives and renewable products, ensuring alignment with established credit risk policies. Documenting business requirements and specifications for enhancements related to credit risk processes and systems, coordinating with IT and market risk teams to ensure timely delivery and testing. Conducting User Acceptance Testing. Offering support and training to users of credit risk processes and systems, addressing any issues or inquiries that may arise. Preparing and maintaining documentation and reports associated with the credit risk product approval process, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborating with product approval managers, credit risk analysts, and other business units to ensure that the credit risk product approval process aligns with business objectives and regulatory standards.Your Profile
A bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably within the energy sector. A solid understanding of energy derivatives and renewables validation, along with credit risk exposure evaluation methodologies and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in credit risk-related processes and systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and other programming languages. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.Benefits at Uniper
