We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internal Controls Specialist to join our team at Speira GmbH. As an Internal Controls Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining our group-wide Internal Controls system, including governance frameworks and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Internal Controls Manager in maintaining the group-wide Internal Controls system, including governance frameworks and tools.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our Internal Controls framework, covering financial and non-financial aspects, including Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR).
- Implement and roll out a group-wide set of Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting.
- Perform tests of control procedures to monitor the effectiveness of control execution.
- Facilitate the group-wide self-assessment process for Internal Controls.
- Identify critical risks and follow up on defined actions.
- Support business process improvements and prepare process descriptions and process flowcharts.
- Interact closely with business to strengthen awareness and support the effective implementation of relevant risk mitigation measures.
- Provide advice and support for identified improvement areas.
- Develop and execute trainings and communication material, including e-learnings.
- University degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.
- At least three years of relevant experience within Internal Controls, preferably in an international environment and/or from Big4 auditing or consulting.
- Project management skills, ability to coordinate effectively cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to effectively implement systems and actions.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Analytical and structured way of working.
- Ability and interest to work independently and in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Additional experience in IT audit and/or ESG reporting is an advantage.
