Internal Controls Manager

As an Associate Manager Internal Controls at Speira GmbH, you will play a key role in maintaining the group-wide Internal Controls system, including governance frameworks and tools. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Internal Controls Manager in maintaining the group-wide Internal Controls system
• Contributing to the continuous development of our Internal Controls framework, covering financial and non-financial aspects, including Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR)
• Implementing and rolling out a group-wide set of Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting
• Performing test of control procedures to monitor the effectiveness of control execution
• Facilitating the group-wide self-assessment process for Internal Controls
• Identifying critical risks and following up on defined actions
• Supporting business process improvements and preparing process descriptions and process flowcharts
• Interacting closely with business to strengthen awareness and support the effective implementation of relevant risk mitigation measures
• Providing advice and support for identified improvement areas
• Developing and executing trainings and communication material, including e-learnings

• University degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent qualifications
• At least three years of relevant experience within Internal Controls, preferably in an international environment and/or from Big4 auditing or consulting
• Project management skills, ability to coordinate effectively cross-functional teams
• Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to effectively implement systems and actions
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Ability and interest to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in German and English
• Additional experience in IT audit and/or ESG reporting is an advantage
