As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of food services, food preparation, and general laborer duties.

Responsibilities:

* Set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed.
* Remove soiled dishes from tables and transport them to the dishwashing unit.
* Wipe or wash tables.
* Prepare fruits and vegetables by cutting, scraping, chopping, dicing, and peeling.
* Operate an electric potato peeler or other appliances.
* Clean, scrub, wipe, or wash service equipment such as worktables and refrigerators.
* Prepare dishes for the dishwasher by separating food waste and trash, prerinsing dishes, and loading dishes in dishwasher.
* Stack and store clean dishes.
* Perform a variety of duties incidental to the maintenance and cleanliness of the area to which assigned.
* Clean kitchen equipment, dining room tables and chairs; wash floors, walls, and windows in kitchen, dining, and storage areas, office, hallways, and latrines.
* Wax and buff floors.
* Clean and sanitize garbage and trashcans.

Requirements:

* No specific experience or education required.
* Must be able to perform duties under guidance after a short period of on-the-job instructions.
* Possession of a valid driver's license class B is highly desired.
* English Language Proficiency level A1 and German Language Proficiency level A2 required.

Working Conditions:

* This is a permanent full-time position (39 hrs./week).
* Designated duty station is at present Vilseck.
* Working on weekends and holidays as well as shift work required.
* Heavy lifting up to 20 lbs required.
