About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the adidas team as a Senior Manager Global Supply Chain Operations, where you will play a key role in driving the success of our global outbound transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Central Intelligence
- Maintain and define standardized performance metrics and tools to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Improve and gain control over global outbound key metrics to support market service levels while delivering efficiency in operations.
- Drive outbound performance analysis, including preparation of global reports, analysis of carrier portfolio, capacity needs vs. secured, etc.
- Drive data and root-cause analysis to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the Director Global Outbound in the development of annual freight cost forecasting.
Projects
- Maintain visibility on project portfolio for the global outbound team.
- Provide executional support to markets in case of burning issues.
- Lead and support key global outbound digital and business transformation projects, such as the digital rollout of multi-carrier management platforms, transportation management solutions (TMS), and yard management solutions.
Systems
- Act as Business Project Manager for the rollout of digitization initiatives, such as multi-carrier management platforms, transportation management solutions, and yard management solutions.
- Identify and review business requirements to feed to the Product Owner for configuration and customization.
- Become a subject matter expert in outbound digitization for our market teams, defining and implementing new processes based on solution functionalities and ensuring the highest level of productivity.
Community
- Build and actively manage an outbound logistics expert network for the exchange of best practices.
Key Responsibilities Market SPOC
- Drive market performance analysis, including preparation of reports, analysis of carrier failures, comparison of capacity needs and capacity secured, etc.
- Work with market outbound on the resolution of major carrier performance failures.
- Work with market outbound on the adoption of global frameworks, including performance management, carrier management, capacity planning, etc.
- Review the fit of carrier portfolio per market with procurement and market outbound.
- Review the fit of capacity secured vs. need with outbound market Lead.
- Engage in carrier performance review for major local carriers.
- Support ad-hoc projects, including conceptualization and project management.

Requisite Education and Experience
- Four-year college or university degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain and outbound transport, and/or management consulting.
- Extensive knowledge of ground transportation modes (parcel, pallet, LTL/FTL) in the consumer goods industry with emphasis on direct-to-consumer (DTC).
- Understanding of the bigger picture and end-to-end supply chain with the focus on transportation (DC to customer, consumer).
- Recent experience and current knowledge of Transportation systems capabilities, and technology platforms (real-time visibility, TMS, carrier integration platforms, yard management solutions).
- Vast experience in multi-national supply chain/logistics/transportation work experience in fast-moving consumer goods industry (preferably apparel, fashion background).
- Proven track record in driving change.
