Global SCM Network Strategy Lead

Job Summary

As a Senior Project Manager for Global Supply Chain Optimization, you will play a key role in shaping adidas distribution strategy globally. You will contribute to ensuring adidas Group distribution network develops in line with our business growth and provides a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead network studies and capacity checks for individual countries, supporting the Director of Network Planning during regional network projects and programs.
  • Develop network recommendations in close partnership with market SCM and Global partners.
  • Develop and improve network simulation models.
  • Coordinate business case development and 'Make or Buy' evaluation in collaboration with Finance, Global partners, and Market CSM.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Senior Management summarizing study outcomes to enable decision-making.
  • Finalize all activities across projects and programs, ensuring key tasks are handed over and documents are approved, completed, maintained, and stored appropriately.
  • Initiate and support continuous improvement activities to improve network team efficiency, competencies, and scope.
  • Gain understanding of inbound, customs, distribution, deployment, and transportation capabilities across adidas markets.
  • Act as a trusted partner to supply chain teams and other Global functions, providing ad-hoc support and insights where needed.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to read between the lines and interact with Senior Management.
  • Self-directed and impact-oriented, with the ability to think end-to-end and handle shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Experienced Supply Chain professional with good knowledge of warehousing, deployment, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record of using tools such as MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Llamasoft, Smartsheet, PowerBi, and Project Management tools.
  • Owner of personal development and believer in lifelong learning.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, strategy, operations, network planning in SCM, preferably.
  • Strong experience managing complex projects related to warehousing, distribution, transportation, or process re-engineering.
  • Project management certification an advantage.
