Job Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer – Consumer & Marketing Data Foundation to join our foundational team. Your role will be pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering innovation by constructing high-quality consumer and marketing data, alongside establishing data automation infrastructure within our organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robust end-to-end data pipelines utilizing virtual machines and cloud services (GCP).
  • Design and implement secure, scalable API endpoints to facilitate data accessibility.
  • Create and sustain self-service ETL infrastructure for stakeholders to manage their data workflows.
  • Continuously enhance our infrastructure by exploring and integrating new tools.
  • Assess existing technical debt and propose necessary improvements.
  • Share insights and knowledge across various levels (team, company, stakeholders).
  • Focus on enhancing the quality and efficiency of automated decision-making and reporting.
  • Utilize a tech stack that includes Python 3 (with data libraries such as pandas), Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Storage), SQL and NoSQL databases, Airflow, dbt, Docker, Terraform, and AWS.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software/data engineering, with at least 1 year focused on developing data solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and constructing scalable, cost-effective data pipelines using cloud services (AWS or Google Cloud) or on-premise platforms (Hadoop, Spark, proprietary data warehousing).
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical SQL (BigQuery, Redshift, or similar) and familiarity with NoSQL databases; experience with dbt is a plus.
  • Strong Python programming skills, with the ability to leverage concurrency, parallel, and distributed techniques.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to navigate and comprehend complex SQL scripts; experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and orchestration tools (preferably Airflow).
  • Some familiarity with continuous integration & deployment, as well as knowledge of "Infrastructure as Code" and containerization.
  • Commitment to clean, well-engineered solutions while maintaining a focus on simplicity and practicality.
  • Effective communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex technical projects to the team and summarizing them for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks and a collaborative spirit within the team.
