Objective:
Become a pivotal force in advancing the standards of occupational safety and health across our operations. Lead a dedicated team of approximately 60 safety and health experts, both at the central office and in various regions. Your role will encompass the management of our internal service framework and the provision of comprehensive support to all company locations regarding safety and health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume the role of a senior safety and health expert, ensuring compliance with all legal obligations. Oversee safety support initiatives related to occupational health services.
- Facilitate and collaborate on extended advisory services in fire safety and the management of hazardous materials.
- Ensure the successful execution of projects and services by the safety and health team, maintaining adherence to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Formulate safety and health strategies and initiatives in partnership with various departments and internal stakeholders.
- Engage closely with business units, human resources, and other departments, as well as employee representation bodies.
- Maintain communication with accident and social insurance organizations and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and manage the department from both a technical and administrative perspective.
Qualifications:
- Dynamic leader with strong negotiation skills and proven leadership capabilities.
- Formal qualifications in occupational safety and health, with relevant experience in fire safety and hazardous materials management.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the field of occupational safety and health, ideally within the retail or decentralized service sectors.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership position.
- Familiarity with logistics is a plus.
- Experience in delivering training sessions utilizing effective moderation and presentation techniques.
- Proficient in standard computer applications and software.
- Willingness to travel across the country as required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
