Senior Electrical Engineer Offshore Wind

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design of our offshore substation electrical system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing electrical specifications for EPC tenders and negotiating these with suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of five years of experience in energy infrastructure projects, preferably from HV substation projects. They will also have good knowledge of electrical HV components, such as transformers, shunt reactors, GIS, and STATCOM.
The Electrical Engineer will work closely with the overall electrical engineering manager to ensure that the electrical design of the OSS is compliant with the project's system design and with the grid code. They will also oversee and evaluate electrical modeling works, working together with internal and external simulation engineers.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing electrical component specifications, such as for transformers, shunt reactors, and GIS. They will also oversee the EPC contractor's works in electrical engineering LV/MV/HV throughout all project stages, from early design to commissioning.
Your ProfileWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, M.Sc. preferred, and a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience from energy infrastructure projects, preferably from HV substation projects.
The successful candidate will have good knowledge of electrical HV components, such as transformers, shunt reactors, GIS, and STATCOM. They will also have experience in electrical design works, managing EPC contractors, and electrical interface engineering.
We prefer candidates with more than 3 years of experience from offshore wind projects. They will also be familiar with relevant industry codes and standards. Fluency in English is required, and German would be a benefit.
The ideal candidate will be willing to undertake regular trips to the project countries and have a valid EU work permit.
