Job Title: Authorized Inspector

At TÜV SÜD, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Authorized Inspector to join our team. As an Authorized Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of pressure vessels and other equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform shop and field inspections to verify compliance with ASME and National Board codes and standards.
  • Verify that design drawings, specifications, and instructions meet ASME and National Board requirements.
  • Ensure that material is properly identified, documented, and traceable.
  • Verify that welding and brazing procedures meet ASME and National Board requirements.
  • Witness pressure tests and proof tests as required by ASME and National Board codes.
  • Verify that non-destructive examination personnel are qualified and that examination procedures meet ASME and National Board requirements.
  • Review and accept non-conformance dispositions and verify corrective actions.
  • Verify that all records are complete, accurate, and maintained as required by ASME and National Board codes.
Requirements:
  • Current and valid National Board Authorized Inspector Commission.
  • Designated as Authorized Inspector by TÜV SÜD.
  • Meet the experience criteria listed in RCI-1 Table 1.
  • Satisfactory completion of the National Board "New Construction Commission" course.
  • Valid and current National Board Commission card.
  • Attended the National Board course for Authorized Inspectors and received a passing grade on the Authorized Inspector exam.
  • Minimum of 80 hours on-the-job training in ASME shop/field fabrication and inspection under the supervision of a designated Authorized Inspector.
