About the Role:

Mercedes-Benz offers an intriguing thesis opportunity focused on the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Our team is engaged in scaling development vehicles for the evaluation of driver assistance technologies and managing the system architecture of these vehicles along with the measurement technology hardware.

Your thesis will concentrate on the design and implementation of a system aimed at the automated transmission and visualization of measurement technology data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring secure and encrypted data transmission via non-persistent connections to a server
  • Visualizing this data in a web portal with a rights management system for various stakeholders
  • Formulating a strategy for data reduction prior to transmission

The final topic will be established in collaboration with your university, yourself, and our team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Preferably some experience in web development (both front-end and back-end)
  • Initial knowledge of security concepts is advantageous
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages for software development on Linux
  • Proficient use of MS Office
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
  • Enjoyment in working with Linux
  • Above-average comprehension and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
