BNY Mellon is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Real Estate Fund Accounting team as Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager. This role is a critical part of our Alternatives Operations Group, responsible for providing administration services to real estate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients.
- Develop and implement processes to optimize resource allocation and quality control.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex issues to clients and provide guidance on regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate German investment law and regulations to inform BNY Mellon's accounting practices.
- Develop and implement company policies and procedures.
- Resolve complex issues escalated from team members.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate staff.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and service delivery enhancements.
Requirements:
- Deep experience in alternatives operations.
- Track record of operational excellence.
- Years of experience managing teams, preferably in real estate.
- Proven management ability in a global organization, managing multiple teams across multiple clients.
- Excellent knowledge of real estate accounting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lead change and manage complex operational process enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project management experience an advantage.
- Experience with Yardi accounting platforms an advantage.
